Reclaiming Weaslinor

After PRIME gathered their forces, they marched into Weaslinor.  With the aid of Niesce, the armies were able to make good speed through the treacherous terrain and come face to face with their counterparts.

Western Weaslinor
Having been informed that a large army moving towards Weaslinor.   Lizard King Kepesk and his tribesman lurk beneath the murky waters, waiting for the chance to ambush the would be liberators of Weaslinor.

Baron Bolton proposed that the 3rd Division who once served under Garfarion to lead the way.  But Lady Vedwyr refused to consign the 3rd Division to such a fate.  She believed that they followed the wrong leader and should be given a chance to redeem themselves.

As the commander of the Salderian Battalion, Lady Vedwyr insisted that she and House Vedwyr take the point.   Her decision proved to be unpopular with House Bolton, House Salvatine & 1st Division.   But this earned her the respect of many others.    Lady Michelle & Arianna was so impressed that they offered to join her vanguard.  The Crown Prince reluctantly followed his fiancee's lead.

As the humans drew closer and the Lizardmen sprang their ambush.   They tore into what little is left House Vedwyr but are held off by Salderian heroes.  The Grey Falcons, a mercenary Osengraen cataphract unit charged into the Lizardmen but was unable to reach Lady Vedwyr and her Vanguard.

As the rest of the Salderian forces mobilize to reinforce their vanguard, they Hydras rising from the murky depths to flank them.  The 1st Division formed a bulwark and prevented their flank from being overran.   While House Salvatine, House Bolton & House Maximillian covered the other flank.

Imperial Agents attached to the force, scouted out the place in advance and found a suitable spot for the Cemyraen Fusiliers.   The Cemyraen Fusiliers made a firebase out of the position and provided gunfire support to wherever was needed the most.  The Black Wyverns that attempted to dislodge the Fusiliers were knocked out of the sky by the Cemyraen gunpowder and Salderian crossbow bolts.

With the support of the 3rd Division, the Grey Falcons were able to push through the Lizardman horde and link up with Lady Vedwyr & her vanguard.

The presence of the College of Magi wizards reduced the Lizardmens' advantage significantly after nullifying what the Hydras brought to the table.  Initially it seemed like the Lizardmen had the upper hand but the situation quickly turn around.

Lizard King Kepesk called for a retreat and subsequently attempted to use guerilla tactics to harass the Salderian Battlation.  The battle lasted for several more days before Imperial Agents figured out the Lizardmen's ambushing patterns.   Shortly after, Lizard King Kepesk was captured by the Salderian Battalion.

Eastern Weaslinor
Lord Mayor Viktor had anticipated Grigor's next move and rallied his men and prepared to repel the army marching upon them.   Loading his cut throats and veteran brigands into barges that could traverse the marshes.

Commander Kydrien, in charge of the coalition forces knew this to be a difficult fight.  There were too little dry land to fight on and his forces would struggle to close in.   He kept his mercenary company on dry land as much as possible and his personal team of elites joined with Evelyn would close in with combination of ingenuity and magic.

While Kydrien and his elites kept the Cutthroats distracted.   The Weaslinorian Bear Calvary charged into Viktor's forces and fought to a stalemate until remnants of the Blood Corps and Goblins of Blood Tree Tribe joined ranks.

Viktor dispatched more of his battle barges to encircle Kydrien's forces.  But Crastul provided magical support allowing Tarvellein's Daughters to close the gap.   The scantily clad dark elven battle maidens momentarily surprised the Viktor's veterans and tore into them.

But Viktor was ready for this outcome, he gave orders for the siege engines to bombard the frontline, sacrificing his own men in the process.   But the siege engines never fired.  Shadow Hand saboteurs had rigged the war machines to fail few hours before hand and sprang an ambush when the Viktor's engineers tried to repair the siege engines.

Viktor's rear guard was numerically superior to the small Shadow Hand force of assassins and rogues.  Confident that they could rid the saboteurs, the rear guard charged into battle.  Only to be met with a crazy warrior clad in bronze platemail.   As the battle progressed, Brindletongue got more and more excited and transformed into his true form.   The Bronze Dragon tore apart the Viktor's rear guard.  Seeking more challenge he charged forward and engaged Viktor and his elite guards.

Desperate to win at all cost, Viktor now sends in all of his men but they were insufficient.  The Air Ship provided by Crastul bombarded Viktor's forces, allowing Kydrien and the Legion of the Black Rose as well as the Weaslinorian Bear Cavalry to push through.

The coalition forces plows through the remnants of Viktor's forces and scored themselves a decisive victory.   Kydrien knows his job is not done yet.  With Kartassa just beyond the borders, he orders his forces and the Weaslinorian Veterans to reinforce the fortifications once occupied by Viktor's forces.

Northern Weaslinor
Having received the warning from Czernobrog, Mihaela prepared for the invaders.  The Baroness and her necromancers raised an even larger undead army to defend their domain against the self righteous crusaders.

Emeris leading the sizable Uzaraen forces marched into northern Weaslinor.  Giving prayers to the Seven Saints as well as the Primordial Gods allowed them to move on water when needed and reach the Baroness domain before they can be fully prepared.

As the two forces meet on the battlefield, Emeris arrogantly proclaimed to Mihaela that she and her undead will be summarily purged.   Baroness Mihaela was exceedingly proud and defiant, refusing to yield so easily.  She sent forth her massive undead army to overwhelm the Crusading Forces.

Uzaraen and Freelander forces peppered the undead with barrage of arrows with no results.  The undead war host closed in with necromancers behind them pelting the Crusaders with arcane & eldritch magic.  Meanwhile, Uzaraen Life Clerics blessed and patched up the Crusading Force where they can.   Eventually the undead warhost closed in.  But Emeris had placed the common mercenaries in the front who bore the brunt of the undead onslaught.

As the mercenaries broke their ranks, Emeris ordered the Freelanders to charge in.   Alanis resenting the way Emeris used the mercenaries and the Freelanders as fodder, charged in as well.

The Freelander force lead by Alanis met the undead warhost head on and was quickly overwhelmed.
Confident with her undead forces, Baroness Mihaela ordered them to charge in and encircle the Uzaraen army.

Emeris has been waiting for this opportunity.  She ordered her Paladins to charge forth and her War Clerics to provide the Crusader Mantle for those that closed ranks with the undead forces.   The Uzaraen forces quickly overwhelmed the weaker undeads.   The ruse paid off, the undead fodder torn apart by blades that radiants holy fire and exposed the Baroness's lieutenants.   Uzaraen forces tore into the necromancers and put an end to their undead summoning.   They then advancing towards Mihaela's forces.

But the Baroness is no pushover, she unleashed her devastating magic upon the Crusading Forces and ordered her more powerful undeads to do battle with the Crusaders.  Powerful undead clashed with Uzaraen mundane forces.  The Paladins and Clerics gave an edge but Baroness Mihaela's potent magical powers meant both forces are now equal.

But Emeris still had a trick up her sleeve.  She had her clerics attached to Corawynian forces and the Corawynian Paladins on horse back charged in from the flanks, plowing into the powerful undead warhost.   As if that wasn't enough, Corawynian Pegasus Knights dived into the battle making a beeline for the Baroness.   Alanis, knowing how extreme and fanatical Emeris can be, rushed towards the Baroness hoping to save the Lich from being exterminated by the Corawynian Paladins.

Baroness Mihaela put up a strong fight but was eventually overwhelmed and captured by the Crusading Forces.  True enough Emeris wanted to execute the Lich on the spot but was stopped by Alanis, who knew that the Lich was more important to Grigor as an undead rather than dead-dead.

The two sisters came to blows as the Crusading Army watched on...

Southern Weaslinor
Hag Queen Barghia Morgu rallied the Cursed Denizens, Monstrous races and the Rift Monsters that she bent to her will.   She will not give up her domain so easily, her will demands that the upstarts be punished for their transgressions.

Baron Fenwick was given the honor to lead the most diverse group to battle.  He could feel the tensions between the Werewolves and the Slayers.   As well as the wood elves towards himself and his men.   The rest got off well enough on their own.   The Green Knights were known and respected by most factions and thus the Baron used them as his runners to deliver message and coordinate the war effort.

When the coalition forces finally arrived at where they thought the Hag Queen would be, they found no one there.   Puzzled by this, Baron Fenwick dispatched the Green Knights and the Wood Elf Rangers to scout out the surroundings.   A day passed, strange fog and miasma began to rise from the ground.  It was not before long that the Hag Queen's forces surge from the mists.

This effectively prevented the High Elven Archers from doing what they did best. Humanoids of various races that were corrupted by the Rift's power soon clashed with Dunswetch army positioned at the frontlines.  Baron Fenwick and his men rushed to the frontlines to repel the attackers.

From the mists, more Cursed Denizens surged out and struck at the flanks of the coalition forces and were met by High Elven Spearmen on the left flank and the Slayers on the right flank.  The Werewolves lead by Frederick joined the battle and helped the High Elves repel the attackers.

After a hard battle, the mists clear and entirety of the Hag Queen's army is revealed.   The Hag Queen has surrounded them.  Cursed Denizen in throngs of hundreds charged forwards.  Behind them are Ogres supported by their more developed cousins.   Horrific monsters from the Rift in all shape and sizes marched forward, supported by several hags.

At the distance, Wood Elven Scouts and Green Knights are fighting a battle of their own, cut off from the rest of the coalition forces.  The Wood Elves were in a superior defensive position but will not hold for long.  While the Green Knights are trying to fight their way back to the main group.

Hoping to mend the gap between the Wood Elves and the Salderian Empire.  Baron Fenwick lead his men and fought their way towards the Wood Elven Scouts while the rest of the army try to reach Green Knights.

The main coalition force met the monstrous hordes head on and was stuck in a pitched battle, Monstrous creatures of the Rift scattered the Dunswetch soldiers but were met with Wood Elven Treants who matched the monster's size and girth.   Dalariel and her Slayers formed a vanguard that pushed the Rift Monsters back, while the Werewolves leap over them and met the Rift Monsters with equal savagery.  As they did so, The High Elven & Dunswetch army formed a battleline and steadily repelled those that tried to flank the Vanguard.  Slowly they make their way towards the Green Knights.

Baron Fenwick's small force found themselves heavily outnumbered and very soon was mired in a pitched battle and cut off from the rest.   The Baron himself charged forward and was soon separated from House Fenwick and brave adventurers who followed him into battle.   Now, it is the right time to transform into his true self.  The Silvannon shook off the Cursed Denizens from him and unleashed a cold icy blast at the Hag Queen's forces.   Relieving some pressure from them before he took off in flight and slammed into the Monsters surrounding the Wood Elven Scouts.

Central Weaslinor
PRIME on its own is a formidable army.  But Grigor wanted to be sure, so requested Ventril to bring Vlanthraxiaz with them.  A Young Dragon who was sired by Deathmist herself.

Karssk Bileblood mobilized his army, he is not about to hand over the Devouring Sea's domain back to the Weaslinorians.   It has been their home for hundreds of years now and it will remain so, Independent from the Dragon Isles, the Dragonborns have a chance to make this their own.   The humans shall not have Weaslinor back...

PRIME met with Karssk's Dragonborn army.  Allen, Melinda & Natasha formed themselves into fire teams and took on Karssk's ranged elements.  While Anaris laid waste to hordes that try to overwhelm them.  While Gibbet & Bryseis covered the flanks and prevented the massive groups of Drake Hounds from flanking the party.    Ventril, Breena & Frinn provided mid ranged support and covered the gaps.

Using the Foldable Boat, the rest of PRIME could traverse the watery landscape with ease and clashed into the Black Dragonborn army.  Azool using Malcam's fury combined with Grigor's divine spells, cleared out the weaker Dragonborns.   Allowing the rest of the melee combatants in PRIME to engage with the Veteran Dragonborns.  Boris riding Leon, with Rillion & Vlanthraxiaz cut a path through the Dragonborn Veterans, allowing Doram, Grigor & Azool to take on Karssk's himself and his elite forces.

While Magda, Daniel, Trisha and David covered the flanks and prevented the main group from overwhelmed.   When Azool flew in and quickly closed the gap, throwing Karssk off.  The Dragonborn General distracted and dismayed ordered his troops at the frontline to return to him.

This allowed PRIME Fire Team to ease the pressure off the rest of the team.   And Ventril casted Arcane Gate to bring in the rest and regroup with the core team.   Seeing that the battle is lost, Karssk ordered a hasty retreat and was whisked away by their Sorcerer before Doram could finish the badly wounded Dragonborn General.

With the Dragonborn Army licking their wounds.  PRIME prepared to move onto Czernobrog himself.
