David woked up a bit later, followed the tracks and found the rest of the party having a face off with the goblins. A fierce battle ensued and unfortunately despite the party's best efforts, the goblins soundly trounced all of them, leaving Anaris and Deltus dead while the rest grasping at life. The goblins ransacked the bodies of the party and made off with what they can carry. But fortunately for the party, lumberjacks working in the forest chance upon the party and carried them back to town.
With great expense, Reverend Anthony revived the party. After the costly lesson, the party returned to the forest this time to finish off the business of finding Joe's friend as well as to exact vengeance upon the goblins for the shameful defeat.
The party cautiousness paid of and this time managed to ambush the goblins not once but twice. Using a combination of cunning tactics and psychological warfare they manage to rout the Goblins as well as locate Trapper Harvey Norman.
The party then escorted Harvey back to Joe. The party catches a breather and now is deciding what is their next move. To be continued.....

Session 1: New to town
Date: 16 Apr 2016
Participants:
Allen Write - Ryan G
Anaris - Brian H
Bryseis - Cheryl K
David Valorous - Gary L
Deltus Kaz - Jian Xun
Zain - Daniel N
The adventurers arrived at the sleepy town of Farswell, each seeking to further their own goals. At first, the adventurers kept to their own business. Deltus and Zain at the behest of their Abbot arrived to deliver a missive to the Reverend. After doing so, the Reverend bade them to stay awhile and aid the town first and if the two can prove themselves. Then he has a task for them.
David a local of Farswell was spared from being mobilized for war due to his deceased father's relationship with the Mayor Barrick. What looked like an uneventful day soon turn into something else altogether.
Allen had a strange feeling and something nudged him to keep traveling from the forest which he was originally from. He arrived in Farswell and finally felt that something is amiss here and remained in town to find out.
Bryseis on the other hand, came to seek fame and fortune. Her charming personality has caught the attention of a noble who wanted more than just watching her perform. Unfortunately her sharp tongue offended the noble so much that he has placed a bounty upon her head. This forced Bryseis to be selective in where she perform, lest the noble's agent catches up to her.
The unlikely band of adventurers soon crossed path. David first caught sight of Bryseis and thought that the Tiefling was up to no good. The two almost came to blows due to a misunderstanding. They were also trailed by Allen.
One thing lead to another and soon, all five found themselves fighting against an automaton that was unleashed upon the town by the crazy Gnome inventor, Alep Coppertink. Anaris the Elven Wizard, caught wind of the commotion and arrived to investigate.
It was not long before the adventurers learn that there are other problems plaguing Farswell. With resources being stretched thin, the Mayor was not able to address all the issues faced by the once idyllic town.
The adventurers would have to take up the mantle of being "heroes" to solve Farswell's problems. Realizing that there is strength in numbers, they banded together and worked towards uncovering each of the problems faced by the towns folks.
The party helped the town resolve some issues set down to solving the rest of the town's problems. Accompanied by Joe Hasmond, they set off to find Joe's good friend who has not return home for several days. After chancing upon a goblin encampment, the party decided to lure a bear they encountered early to rampage through the goblin camps. Alas the bear eventually lost interest and went away but not before mauling Allen badly.
As the party caught up to Allen, they patch him up but find themselves surrounded by a small hunting party of goblins. To be continued.....

Welcome!
Thanks for joining our Dungeons & Dragon group, fellow adventurers or D&D enthusiast.
I hope you get excited as I am for the next gaming session.
Although this is a homebrew campaign, we are always open for new ideas that add depth, enrich the campaign world or improve the narrative experience. In fact, some of the elements of this campaign world is a result of ideas and or suggestions given by other players in the past.
My purpose is to strive to create a campaign world that involves player participation and certain persistent elements. Player Characters from past campaigns often leave their mark in the world for new Player Characters to discover.
If you have any ideas that you would like to share, I am happy to hear about. After-all I see the D&D campaign as a form of collaborative effort in furthering the narrative.
So, let's get going! Don't be shy and feel free to suggest, post comments or ask questions.
