SEASON 1: EPILOGUE

After the defeat of Kardis the Dark Queen & thwarting Wickit's plans.  The heroes involved split up and go their own way.   The Kartassans who aided PRIME left abruptly during the escape when the hellscape tore itself apart.

WAR RAGES ON
While PRIME was contending with the threat from the Rift.  the Kartassan invasion on Western Irth Ungrae continues.  Kartassan forces march towards Western Ungrae with five legions leaving Weaslinor alone.  With the majority of their forces moving towards Salderia & Corawyn.

From the North, the Vadir Clans sweep southwards towards Dunswetch.   While the rest raid the coastal settlements of Dunswetch & Uzarae.

From the West, the opportunistic Dark Elves take to their ships and raided Gra'lec Isle, the Freelands & Corawyn, taking as many slaves as they can.  Giving the Vadir Clans a wide berth.

From the East, under the leadership of Grozmak the Belligerent.  The loose coalition of Gnaskul invades Osengrae.

From the South, the Pirate Lords of Vakagrae raided the coastal regions of Osengrae and Elvandar.

Faced with such opposition, the Empire of Salderia, Kingdoms of Corawyn & Dunswetch had no choice but to band together and proclaim themselves the Grand Alliance once more.

EMPIRE OF SALDERIA
The Grand Duchy of Brosengar was the first to fall.   After PRIME dealt with the Blood Corps, the Kartassans began a series of plans to destabilize the Salderian Empire.

The Cult of Nurgeros infected the populace of Brosengar with a deadly plague that spreaded like wildfire.    Caught by surprise, the nobility of Brosengar could not contain the plague.   Many of Brosengaens fell and rose as plague zombies.  The Salderians attempted to aid their vassal state and succeeded in culling many of those that were infected but it was too late.

Taking advantage of the chaos, Kartassan forces infiltrated Eastmarch & Brosengar.   When the war went into full swing.   Brosengar fell within a days with very little resistance.   Kartassan forces ambushed and completely annihilated Eastmarch Relief Forces led by Cedric Carlsen.  No Salderians made it back to Eastmarch to report what transpired.

By the time Duke Tobias realized something was amiss, Kartassans had already taken the Salderian border keeps and were marching towards the Eastford, capital city of Eastmarch.   The grizzled old Duke sent word to Lothelmar as he prepared for war.

However, the whole of Salderia was still recovering from the civil war engineered by the Vormav.
Only House Carlsen responded immediately, Earl Edmund Carlsen mustered his forces and marched home, eager to avenge the death of his son Cedric Carlsen.  Cara accompanied her father.

Joining up with Duke Tobias, they held off the Kartassan 1st Legion for a month before they were completely overwhelmed.

Duke Tobias & Lord General Selwyn Shepard fell in battle with three quarters of the 4th division wiped out.  Although they exacted a heavy toll on the Kartassans, they still lost the City of Eastwatch to the Kartassans.   The Earl gathered the remaining survivors and retreated further into province of Eastmarch.

Outnumbered 10 to 1, The Earl's forces could not hold onto any ground and eventually the entire Eastmarch fell into Kartassan hands.  Had Salderia not been subjected to the Blood Corps rebellion & the Civil War, things might had been different.

Although if all of Vormav's plans were not foiled by PRIME.   Kartassa would have been able to waltz into Salderia without a fight...but that was not the case.

Emperor Marcus mustered all the forces he could gather and marched towards the east and join up with Earl Carlsen's survivors.  The Arch Prince was presented with a perfect opportunity to install himself as the Emperor but thought the better of it, recalling the words of a young wood elf named Allen.   Instead the Arch Prince gathers up an army, calling upon his vassals and using his finances to hire mercenaries to aid in the war effort to resist the Kartassan invasion.

At the front lines the war rages on.  The Salderian Forces led by Emperor Marcus II joins up with Earl Edmund and managed to retake some lands before the bulk of Kartassan 1st Legion commits to battle.   The Salderian forces suffered significant losses and were pushed back to Stromford.  Where they would make their last stand with the Arch Prince's reinforcements.

With Allen harassing the Kartassan & Welly sneaking into their camps to sabotage them.  The Kartassan advance was delayed.   This bought Bryseis enough time to help David Valorous evacuate the townsfolk of Farswell.  Stromford became one of the most fortified Cities in Salderian History.

The Kartassans besieged Stromford with four battalions and lost first legion within the first day Anaris having arrived few days earlier, helped Emperor Marcus II strategize.  In the ensuing battle, Stromford & the surrounding countryside was ravaged by magical fire & ice that rained from the sky.  Kartassan also utilized magic to give them an edge.  Their troops teleported behind the battlements and into gatehouses.  The battle was brutal with casualties mounting on both sides as the fighting continues.  Within a week the Kartassans lost another three battalions trying to take Stromford.

With the support of Anaris, Welly, Allen, Merryton, the Freelands & the Gra'lec Isles - Salderia managed to hold back Kartassa's invasion for sometime.  During this time, Doram would appear with caches of supplies needed for the war effort at Fortress Keldrick which was put to good use by the Salderians.

Despite Uzarae's offers, Salderia refused to accept aid from The Theocracy.  Marcus's decision proved to be unpopular and lost the trust of the Elector Lords.  Instead Arch Prince Frederick was chosen to lead the Empire as the new Emperor.

The war would rage on for years and ownership of the lands swung between Kartassa & Salderia until half of Eastmarch is retaken by Salderia.

Years later, Emperor Frederick has yet made the decision to accept Uzarae's aid and often giving noncommittal responses...

KINGDOM OF CORAWYN
When Princess Josephine of Salderia called for a truce and Grigor returned the Sword of Imperial Dominance to Corawyn.  King Valois suspected something was amiss and sent the bards to seek more information.   When word of Brosengar succumbing to mysterious plague reached his ears, he began to muster Corawyn's armies.    By the time Kartassan legions crossed the Rift, his army was ready.

Instead of waiting for Kartassa to invade, King Valois engaged the Kartassan forces at the badlands.  There the Corawynians score several victories over 5th Auxiliary legion consisting mostly of Bavaran Tribesman.  Auxiliary legions served Kartassa well as fodder, this allowed the Kartassans to observe and study Corawynian tactics & strategy.   The battle began in earnest when Kartassan 2nd Legion commits their forces to the war.

The Kartassans used the terrain to their advantage and baited the formidable Corawynian cavalry units into ambushes.  Still the Corawynian persist and emerged triumphant although at a heavy cost.  They would eventually be pushed out of the badlands as their supply lines were raided constantly by Bavarran Tribesman who employed hit & run tactics.   While the Kartassan 2nd Legion engaged the Corawynians in pitched battles.
When Drachyen Slavers begin raiding his coastal settlements.  King Valois was forced to pull his forces back into Corawyian territory where their supply lines were more secured.   He diverted some of his army to patrol the coastal regions and repel the Dark Elves where possible.

Even then the Corawynians continued to put up fierce resistance to the Kartassan invasion. But the situation was about to change.

Vriemmarthox or otherwise known as Scorching Rain has been gathering his army within the mountains of South-Western Corawyn for quite decades.  Using the Orb of Draconic Domination, Vriemmarthox made the enslaved Cilandrathe the general of his army.   The Copper Dragon led an army of Orcs & Dragonborn that swept through the entire South Western Corawyn until she met her end at the hands of the Golden Lily Company.   At the behest of Monsieur Duvall Villeneuve the Mercenary Company ambushed the Copper Dragon and released her from her pained existence.

Scorching Rain was infuriated at losing his toy and took to the battle himself. Incinerating both Villenueve's vineyards & his mercenary company but could not find the merchant prince of wine himself.   Finally several days later, he found him being smuggled out of Corawyn aboard the Crimson Barnacle.  There Scorching Rain forced both Captain Alonso Hernandez  & Monsieur Duvall to bend the knee.  The wine merchant refused, proclaiming his loyalty is still to Corawyn and pointed his middle finger at the Ancient Red Wyrm before incinerated alive.

With Dark Elves raiding the coastal settlements, an army led by a red dragon sweeping through southern part of the kingdom.  Corawyn could barely sustain a war on three fronts and the Kartassans were able to take the Eastern Provinces of Corawyn. Two thirds of Corawyn are lost to Kartassa & Scorching Rain's army.  The three factions contest each other for the control of former Corawynian territories.   Corawyn was eventually forced to agree to the Theocracy's terms in order to receive aid & military support.  This allowed them to retake some of Corawyn but evicting both Kartassans &  Red Dragon Army remains a distant goal.

KINGDOM OF DUNSWETCH
Having received the warning from PRIME.  Dunswetch prepared itself for the Vadir invasion.  When the Vadir clans first invaded, they found little to no resistance and kept pushing deeper until they overextended themselves.  By the time the Vadir caught on, the Dunswetch have caught them in several ambushes and cut off their escape route.  The Vadir suffered significant losses that prevented them from affecting Dunswetch much.

The Vadir's only success were at Dunswetch coastlines where they managed to raid and pillaged several settlements.

At the South Eastern borders of Dunswetch, battalions from Kartassan 3rd legion did battle with Dunswetch and managed to push in but did not take the fight any further.   But in the north awaits another opportunist.  The Barony of Darkovnor marches to war and a massive undead warhost marches into Dunswetch sweeping aside all resistance.

When Dunswetch calls for aid, Uzarae & Weaslinor responded.   Although Weaslinor lacked the military strength of the other Kingdoms they held off the undead long enough for Theocracy of Uzarae to organized a crusade that would push the undead out.

Although affected by the Kartassan invasion, Dunswetch lost very little and due to this became a safe haven for most of the refugees fleeing from war torn areas.

THEOCRACY OF UZARAE
Nestled between Corawyn to the South and Dunswetch to the North, Uzarae was largely shielded from the invading forces.  Only their coastal regions were affected by the Vadir raiders.  Few coastal settlements were pillaged and raped which the Theocracy easily repelled as they have been building up their forces for some time.

Kartassa's invasion of Irth Ungrae presented itself as an opportunity to The Theocracy.  Uzarae would render aid & military forces to beleaguered nations of Western Irth Ungrae only and if they agree to their terms.  As a result, Theocracy has rose to prominence.  And even attempted to coerce the Republic of Osengrae into accepting their vision of religion in return for military aid.

The Theocracy turns attention towards Crastul, the Kingdom of Magic.

REPUBLIC OF OSENGRAE
Osengrae was hit the hardest by the invasion.  When Kartassa lend their support to Warlord Grozmak the Belligerent, he crushed those that would defy him and unified all of Gnaskul.  The Orcish led coalition of Ogres, Gnolls & Goblins invaded Osengrae while Kartassan Auxiliary legions provided minimal support.

The Republic Navy was also engaged in battle with Vakagraen Pirate Lords who are in cahoots with Kartassan.  Osengrae lost three quarters of the Republic to Gnaskul and is trying to retake their lost territories with the aid of mercenaries from Cemyrae.

The Osengraens are keen to retake their lands but are still considering their options.  They have received offers from both the Theocracy as well as the Magocracy, both which they found to be equally repulsive.

MAGOCRACY OF CRASTUL
Separated from the rest of the continent and having a powerful military force augmented by arcane magic, very few would consider invading Crastul a wise decision.    For the first year, they remain content to observe history in the making.  After which they began to reach out to various nations engaged in the war, offering them their solutions & aid.

The Magocracy dispatched a fleet of airships towards lands formerly owned by Corawyn, Salderia & Dunswetch which causes concern for all those involved in the war, especially Kartassa.

GNASKUL
Under the leadership of Orc Warlord Grozmak, Gnaskul's territories expands eastwards into Bavarra and westwards into Osengrae.   It was not long before infighting broke out and the different clans & tribes battled each other for dominance.

The strongest and toughest Osengraens are finally beaten and now his army grows fat on the ale they have been guzzling and the meat they consumed.

A mysterious stranger in hoods & cloak visited Grozmak and whispered something into his ear.  The stranger brings with him many arcane baubles but also weapons. Grozmak smiles baring his sharp and crooked teeth and turns his attention towards the North East.

PRINCIPALITIES OF CEMYRAE
The Cemyraen City states were already at war with each other long before the invasion.   Emperor Veld II seems content to let the Cemyrae fight it out among themselves.   He sends instead an emissary to each of the three major City States requesting for military access & in return Kartassa will trade with the Cemyraens.  All three Merchant Princes readily agree and Kartassan forces were able to march into Brosengar uncontested.

Principality of Varleno
Invaded South Eastern Salderia after the Empire suffered several setbacks.  They were eventually repelled by Duchess Maryanne Weyland and a small force of wood elves that are interested in maintaining the alliance between the Empire & the Elves.

Principality of Tenevento
Taking advantage of the chaos, they begin to send agents to infiltrate Salderia, hoping to root out the Guild of the Shadow Hands.

Principality of Sarona
Profited from this war by selling arms & equipment to everyone.   They also rented out their mercenary companies to help keep Osengrae free from Gnaskul control.

KARTASSA EMPIRE
For thirty years, the Kartassan Emperor & his advisors strategized & build up the Kartassan Army to unify the continent.  Their efforts finally paid off, although their trust in C'thol Kishak was misplaced.

The Kartassans would have unified Irth Ungrae through conquest had PRIME not stood in their way and the Grand Bishop not betrayed them.  Now Kartassa holds a portion of the lands once held by Corawyn, Salderia & Dunswetch as well as the badlands that stood between the Western Kingdoms and the Rift itself.
Anticipating Gnaskul to eventually turn attention back to the east again, Emperor Veld II recalls some of the Kartassan forces occupying Salderian, Corawynian & Dunswetch territories, leaving those he felt capable in charge of the newly acquired territories.

He then ordered Commander Percival Blackwood to purge those who conspired with the Grand Bishop.  The crackdown was swift & brutal. When C'thol Kishak declared its independence, the 4th Legion was called in to put down the rebellion.

As expected Gnaskul turned its attention towards Kartassa and activity from the Dragon Isles force Kartassa to focus their attention towards the east.   Alanil, a vassal state nestled between Kartassa & the Rift also declared their independence.  Kartassa was forced to divert their forces to maintain stability over the old part of their Empire.  Eventually the Kartassan's control over the newly conquered realms began to loosen over the years.

BAVARRAN PLAINS
With the scourge of Bavarra slain by PRIME in the battle against the Dark Queen.  There was no one to unify the tribes against.  Soon the tribes went back to their old ways.  Fighting each other and constantly vying for supremacy.

Tarn Fyrewind lies in his own pool of blood after his fourth son from his third wife has betrayed him to the Blood Wolf Tribe.   His thought wanders to his sweet little girl Nara, his dearest and most beloved child before expiring.

FREE NATION OF VAKAGRAE
The Pirate Lords made a pact with Kartassa this time round.  With most of the nations at war,  the Pirate Lords could raided, plundered & raped their way through Southern Vastarian Seas.  Trading vessels carrying supplies to & fro war torn areas were their targets.  Ensuring those nations never got the supplies they needed.

Some Pirate Lords had the audacity to challenge the Elven Kingoms, taking whatever spoils they could and committing acts of mass debauchery before being driven off by the vengeful Elven Navy.

These Pirate Lords return to Vakagrae, their cargo holds laden with the spoils of plunder.
One Pirate crew however got off rich by smuggling a Dragon Skull stolen from the Elves.  The Drunken Buccaneers took it off the Vastarian Sea Devils before handing it over to a mysterious buyer.
Vakagrae may have acquired much material wealth but have also earned the ire of the Elves.

THE BORDER PRINCES
The territories of the Border Princes consisted of those that were formerly controlled by Salderia, Corawyn & a small portion of Dunswetch.  It also includes the badlands that stood between the Rift and the Western Kingdoms of Irth Ungrae.
After conquering these lands, the Kartassans proclaim this as Western Kartassa Empire.  From here, the Kartassans would continue their invasion into Western Irth Ungrae.   The populace consisted of those Kartassans & Bavarrans who choose to settle here as well as locals who accepted Kartassan rule.  Although most of the locals who did so are also criminals released from their prisons and pardoned by Kartassa.

The Kartassans were fair to those who accepted their rule.  Those who did so were given equal opportunity to succeed.  Those who did well climbed the ranks.

A year later, the badlands mysteriously began to bloom and became greener.  A forest full of thorny plants appeared in North Eastern part of the badlands while the rest became green plains.  The Kartassans moved quickly to colonize this new land and began transform this into farmlands.

Years later, the harvest from these farmlands would go on to supply the on-going war effort against Western Kingdoms of Irth Ungrae.  When Kartassa turns its attention eastwards and recalled some of their troops occupying Western Kartassa Empire.

The Kingdoms of the Western Irth Ungrae seized the opportunity to retake their lands.  Some of the settlers with nowhere else to go felt abandoned by Kartassa choose to renounce their allegiance to the Kartassan Empire.  They also refused to accept being ruled by the Kingdoms of the Western Irth Ungrae.    The appearance of Crastul Airships over Western Kartassa Empire embolden the people.  Some rebelled against the Kartassan government officials.  While some of the Kartassan government officials sided with the people and choose to secede from Kartassa.
They would eventually become known as Border Princes, a new sovereign power that answers to neither Kartassa or any of the Kingdoms of Western Irth Ungrae.

KINGDOM OF WEASLINOR
The re-emergent Kingdom of Weaslinor was largely untouched by the war as Kartassa saw no economic value in taking swamp country.   Weaslinor boasted one of the most diverse populace but also one of the most fragmented.   Many of the races that reside in Weaslinor do not get along or see eye to eye with each other.

In fighting would have broken out if Grigor had not returned to Weaslinor to rule.  The new King knew how precarious Weaslinor's situation is and  set it on a path towards stability

Instead Weaslinor keeps an eye Kartassa troop movements and relays it to Corawyn & Salderia.  The swamp country also opens its borders and welcome any refugees fleeing from the war.  Although most choose to go to Dunswetch, only the hardiest & most desperate end up in Weaslinor.

Over the years, Weaslinor stabilizes itself and water has receded much faster than anticipated.  Rumors has it that the Weaslinorian King is touched by the Gods especially Niesce.  The people began to settle on the land and become loyal subjects to the King & the royal family.
When Dunswetch was invaded by the Undead from Darkovnor.  Weaslinor was the first to answer their call for aid.  Although they could not repel the undead entirely, Weaslinor's presence ensured Dunswetch was not overrun by the undead until Theocracy arrived to help.

For Weaslinor's role, Darkovonor invades the swamp country.  The Undead sweep through North Western Weaslinor but was contained at Bytlov Pass with an army led by Natasha & Boris.  There they fought for weeks and was about to be overrun until Vraak Cuskfang led an army to reinforce their position.
With reinforcements from Dunswetch, Weaslinor was able to push the undead back and reclaim their lands. It turns out that sparing Baroness Mihaela (un)life was a good thing.  The Lich was grateful to be given another chance and helped on more than one occasion to point out the undead's weaknesses and how to defeat them.

She also served as a capable advisor to Grigor and is shrewd at managing the Kingdom's finances.  Although her presence at the courts often give Mistress of the Temple of the Seven Saints fits whenever High Bishop Emeris visits the King.

For a while peace lasts in the Kingdom of Weaslinor and King Grigor maintains friendly relationships with the neighboring kingdoms.   When an emissary from the Border Princes arrived, requesting Weaslinor to recognize the Border Princes as a sovereign state, the King agrees.  Going as far as to host a conclave to set up trade agreements and extending an invitation to Salderia, Dunswetch & Corawyn.

Over the years, it has also seen a flood of Tiefling refugees from Corawyn & Dunswetch.   Weaslinor knows the source of these problems, but as a budding kingdom.  It is well aware that it is one of the weakest nations on Irth Ungrae and cannot confront the perperator. Weaslinor continues to maintain cordial relationship with its neighbors while building up itself.

KINGDOM OF ELVANDAR
The High Elves kept mostly to themselves and when Salderia request for aid against the Kartassans.  Elvandar insist of maintaining friendly relationships with the Empire as Trading Partners but will not be involved in any military capacity.

However the Elven Warhost is far from idle.   Within the squares & promenades of Elvander itself, the elves train for war.  Their forges churn out weapon & armor made of elven steel.

On the Ever Isle, the Elves muster for war.  They have encountered a race of men with dark skin unlike those that they have met.   These strange men attacked them without provocation all because the elves refused to bend the knee to their God King.  Although some elves believe it was because the those in power covet the ancient relics and artifacts found in the new lands and did not want to share with the local inhabitants.

TAL VALERIN
After PRIME discovered that Cyanogorax the Deathmist was responsible for the conflict between the Wood Elves & The Empire of Salderia.  The Wood Elves came to the Empire's aid when Cemyrae tried to take advantage of the weakened Salderia.

The Wood Elves continue to patrol their borders and devote their resources in rooting out the remnants of Cyanogorax's minions to ensure their kingdom is kept safe.

THORMATOIN
Even more reclusive than the Elves, the dwarves minded their own business and continued to explore deep beneath the earth.  The news of their island colony being lost finally reached them but the Dwarven Lords barely registered any interest in it.

Although there has been rumors that there is a growing interest among the younger dwarves to reclaim some of their lost Mountain Holds outside of Thormatoin.  But these Mountain Hold are located deep the various human sovereign nations.   The dwarves worry that large expeditions would attract the attention of the local human rulers and their unwanted "help".

Some Dwarven Lords have proposed to dig deeper and construct tunnels that would link Thormatoin to the rest of their long lost Mountain Holds.

NOTABLE PEOPLE
Irth Ungrae has no doubt been shaped by the events that transpired.   But what of the people that played a part in the change?

ALLEN MOONBLOSSOM
Allen returns to Salderia and helps them in the war against the invading Kartassan Empire.  He remembers his friends from the Empire especially Terrence and participates in a few pitched battles and defenses.  The Wood Elf gained notoriety as a scout & harasser - he was a thorn in the flesh for the invading Kartassans.

The Kartassans placed a bounty on the Allen and even dispatched the Kartassan Elites that fought on PRIME's side after him.   The Elites eventually caught up to Allen but let him go on the account that they once had the same cause and that PRIME shown mercy before.

Shortly after that, Terrence mysteriously vanished and Allen felt that he has done enough for Salderia and his friends.  He quit the war and rejoined his father in Tal Valerin.
With a place to call his own, Allen placed his mounted his trophies acquired during his adventuring days on the walls of his humble abode.  One of his most prized trophy is the Hell Glaive, taken from Lord Tyros Blackblade of the Timeless Watch.  He enjoys causing the weapon to burst into black fire whenever he passed by.

After serving in the Waywatchers for sometime, Allen was promoted and given command of his own cadre of Rangers.   If he is not protecting the Woodland Realm, Allen would spend time with his family.  Sometimes Dalariel visits him.  Sometimes they plan a trip and meet up in Weaslinor to catch up with old friends.

Dalariel & The Slayers
Allen invited Dalariel to stay with her family at Tal Valerin.  However, Dalariel remains loyal to Slayers that raised her and choose to serve them.  She would occasionally visit her father & younger brother to catch up on what they were doing.   She & her party would travel Irth Ungrae in search of dangerous monsters that are threat to the common folk.  In such chaotic times, the monsters grow ever bolder and the Slayers are often kept busy.

Feeling responsible for the deaths of Clyde & Anduin, Dalariel resigns from being the party leader and Dunnar Stormshield has taken over.  The Dwarf's wisdom has guided the party through difficult times.  While Brian often acts as the heart of the party while Merla keeps everyone going.

Friedrich & The Lycanthropes
Freidrich & the lycanthropes from Spinewood resettled in Weaslinor after Allen helped Grigor take the kingdom back from Czernobrog.   The small community of Lycanthropes make their home in the swampy forest north west of the Capital.   Unlike Salderia, the wilderness of Weaslinor is much harsher but the Lycans are happy to work hard as long as they are free and left alone.  Reclusive & hard to reach, most would have forgotten that they ever exist until Undeads from Darkovnor invaded.

An undead army hoping to flank Natasha & Boris's army chance upon the Lycanthrope village.  Friedrich's wife, Bernadette was slain by a necromancer leading the undead army.  The enraged lycanthropes tore through the undead and enlists in the army for a brief moment, helping to drive the undead back to Darkovnor.

ANARIS
Despite Anaris's weariness from battle, he understands that the Kartassans cannot be allowed to expand their sphere of influence and joins Salderia to fight against them.  He arrives at Stromford days before the Kartassans arrive to besiege the City.  The Elven Mage's arrival turned the tide of battle for Salderia.

The Kartassans were no slouch in the arcane department either, they ramp up their efforts and sent their best after the Salderians & any PRIME that tried to help.   Over the year, Anaris suffered multiple nightmares and survived countless assassinations.   He almost lost his life and looked at what he had accomplished.  With his help, the Empire retaken all the lands stretching from Stromford to Minoc and they have not even reclaim all of Salderia from Kartassa.  Furthermore the land stretching from Stromford to Minoc has been transformed from fertile floodplains into barren wastelands after being bombarded by storms of ice & fire raining from the skies.

Tired of such destruction, Anaris quits the field of battle.  When Corawyn requests for his aid, Anaris turns them down as he is weary of fighting and but is more likely he could not tolerate their accents.

Anaris returns to Tor'Gilanon and spends time with his family.  He finds that his parents has finally been cured of their "curse".   His stay there was particularly awkward.  Anaris learns that his own sister is heavy with her 4th child.   And Faladris has wedded Sarielle and she too is heavy with child.  His eldest brother Caladris suspects they have all been cursed and is trying to get them to come clean without making it too obvious. It didn't help with Evelyn around Anaris, trying to use every opportunity to get close to him.   Narielle's daughter Eucharis returning home for the first time with her lover made things even worst.  It turns out that Eucharis was with Ventril for sometime.

And Anaris knows Ventril well enough to know that he isn't going to like where this is going.  Things got tense and Anaris eventually isolated himself from his family & Evelyn as well.

He spent years studying and researching the multiple planes of existence he has come across.  Until he realizes that it is important that he spends time with his friends & family.   He confronts his own feelings and eventually decides that he didn't want to be apart from Evelyn.

Evelyn
When Anaris left to fight in the war between Salderia & Kartassa.  Evelyn wanted to follow him but was told to stay behind.    Upon his return, she stuck to his side but could felt that she was becoming too reliant on him.   And when he retreated to conduct his research, she sensed that she is no longer wanted.   Realizing that it is not fair for her to treat him like this, Evelyn seek out her own path.

She reconnected with her only other kin,Wislan to share experiences about their race or what remains of it.  She researched into the whereabouts of these old ruins and sought to explore them.   This kept her busy until one day Anaris found her.  When Anaris explained her importance to him, she was overjoyed and choose to return to his side.  Although she still dreams of unearthing the ancient ruins of her people.

AZOOL
Immediately after the party dealt with the Dark Queen,  Nara gave birth to a pair of twins within the Rift.   The party retrieved Nara & the newborn babes and made a hasty retreat.  Ever since then, Azool is by his wife & children side, taking care of them.   The couple named the boy Alex and the girl Olivier.   The barbarian then departs from the party but tells them that he would be there if they ever needed him.   For the first few months he would stay with his wife & children in the White Tower but they would travel in search for a suitable home to settle down in while taking care of some loose ends.

Caring very little for the fates of Salderia or Bavarra & having seen enough of the world.   Azool did not participate in the war between Kartassa and the rest of Western Irth Ungrae.

Traveling to Salderia, Azool retrieves the Dragonsaber from Ser Nathan bestows the Knight the Sunderer.   He also spends sometime teaching the young tournament champion to be less reliant on tools while enjoying the hospitality of Salderian Royalty.

After that he & Bryseis travels to the Shrine of St Ardenn in Uzarae where they used both the Dragonsaber and Heaven's Sword in order for Bryseis unlock ancient knowledge kept within the two weapons.

Leaving Bryseis to absorb the ancient knowledge herself.   Azool and his family then travels to Tal Valerin and returns the Dragon Lance to Queen Aladrielle of the Wood Elves.

A year later, Azool & his family finally settles down in Merryton, where the the land enjoys a spell of wonderful weather and the produce is bountiful.  It was after-all Nara's choice to settle here as most of  Salderia is cold & wet and those that aren't are not great places to bring up children.  While Corawyn is ravaged by a three way war.

Most of the days, Azool is contented to work the land and take care of his family.  At times, he had to take up arms to defend the halflings from invading bandits or slavers.   This gotten him some unwanted attention where he was forced to spend sometime teaching the locals how to channel their "rage".

On occasions, Azool & his family will be visited by friends & family.  Mostly Delondra & Teagen trying to bridge the gap between Azool & his father but Azool's half sibling made little progress.   Azool would also skip town sometimes when Doram comes visiting for a little time away from Nara & the kids.  He would join Doram on his sea excursions or go on fishing trips with the Half Orc Pirate.

Nara Fyrewind
After giving birth to the twins Alex & Olivier and going through that much, Nara had a change of heart.  No longer does she desire to unit the Bavarran Tribes and become the Queen of her people.   Her children and husband are all that matters to her... for now.

While she was reluctant to travel around with the infants, she did so with Azool for a brief time before deciding to settle down in Merryon.  She became well-liked by the locals, always knowing the right thing to say.
When Frinn choose to leave them, Nara was sad to see her handmaiden whom she considers her sister go.  Whenever Azool is "missing", Nara would take the twins to visit each of the nobles the party has acquainted with to "maintain" relationships.  In spring they would visit the Maximillians, in summer, Duchess Maryanne, in Autumn, Baron Fenwick & in winter, Queen Aladrielle of the Wood Elves.

Frinn Darksands
Even though Frinn participated in the final battle with the Dark Queen Kardis, there was a part of her that didn't want Azool or herself to be there.  She felt such odds were impossible to overcome and didn't want to lose Azool twice.   After the battle is over, Frinn is forced to confront her own feelings, her guilt for wanting to abandon Nara and also how she felt that Nara came between her and Azool.

But she also realized that Azool always regarded her as a younger sister and nothing more, Azool could never give her the things she wanted from him.   Frinn followed the family to Salderia & Uzarae and when they finally decided to settle down in Merryton. The beastmaster made her move.  She made some of the best leather shoes and belts for the family before leaving them to seek out her own path.

Frinn traveled Salderia and became a hired sword, dealing with errant soldiers or bandits that plagued the villagers.   She earned a reputation as a bounty hunter and begin to take on more dangerous assignments.   Years went by and she began to wonder what happened back home and traveled eastwards back to Bavarra.  Along the way, she had some adventures and her own legends grew.  The people would call her the Girl with the Bird or the Spearlady or She is Good with the Spear...

Olivier & Alex
Their parents were gone for a few hours visiting Baron Fenwick.  When asked why, Azool mumbled something along the lines of keeping the Baron honest, to which Nara chuckles.
The twins did not understand what that meant but was told that one of the locals will be coming over to watch over them while Azool & Nara is gone for a few days.

Slaver ships from the North descended upon the halfling village, raiding for supplies and slaves.  The halflings fought back, some channeled their rage but it was not enough.  There were simply too many of them.

The slavers broke into Azool's house and found the children hiding in the armoire.  The Drachyen seized Olivier and dragged her out.  When Alex rushed the Dark Elf, the Slaver turned and ran his blade into the Alex.  Leaving the boy to bleed out.   Olivier rushed to her brother's side and cradled her dying brother in her arms, putting her hands over his wounds.   The Dark Elf sneered and advanced menacingly towards Olivier.   Olivier turned her head towards the slaver and her eyes blackened.  The Dark Elf began to choke and began to age rapidly, within a minute he was reduced to a shriveled husk.  Alex choked and gasped, finding his sister by his side and his wounds have healed.

The two stayed inside the house for while and heard sounds of fighting.  After an hour or so, they hear movement again within the house, until a Minotaur wearing a breastplate featuring skulls & crossbone, strode inside the house towering over the kids.    The twins heave a sigh and realized that they are safe.  Bartholomew the Bovine is one of the Uncle Doram's crew.

BRYSEIS SZEREBAN
Bryseis stayed in Salderia for a brief moment and help to evacuate the settlements that are in direct path of the Kartassan invasion.   She also spends time playing songs that would life their morale of the Salderian soldiers.  This prevented some of the soldiers from deserting the army and gave the soldiers hope that they would suceed against the Kartassans.

With Azool's help she traveled to Uzarae to acquire the knowledge hidden within the Dragon Saber and Heaven's Sword..   Following that, the Tiefling Bard head towards Weaslinor and joins King Grigor as one of his courtiers.

There she performed her duty as a diplomatic envoy to various neighboring kingdoms for a good portion of her time, though her presence in the court have always annoyed Lady Emeris and Bryseis knows it and continues to rub it into the Aasimar's face.  She also takes the time to locate her people and bring them to Weaslinor.

The bard later retires from court to go on adventures of her own, she would look for magical musical instruments but often found them buried in ancient temples, ruins or places typically too dangerous to go on her own.  Marching into the taverns nearby, she would sing her tale to recruit those who would seek to aid her but only paying 5 copper pieces but also throwing in what the dungeon offers, if the dungeons actually offered anything more than death and dismemberment...

Often she would go into these places with a full complement of escorts, torch bearers, bored farmhands, old delusional drunks from local taverns, adventuring hopefuls.  Most them would die a horrible death since they are peasants that are neither trained or equipped for that type of work.

Bryseis's Ballad
The Tiefling also found the time to compose a ballad or several ballads.  Depending on where you heard it or who you asked.  It was all very confusing.

The ballad(s) was about the grandest and most epic battle Irth Ungrae had ever seen but also the weirdest.
It described the Ritual by Grand Bishop Caudovir bending his choir boys over at the altar.  And the party entered the moment in the most inappropriate of times.
Then Dark Queen Kardis appearing out of nowhere shatting out tons of eggs and each of them bursting into dragons.  At least a million dragons have been seen swarming around but were all crushed by the most sensational and heroic party of eight from Weaslinor which consisted of

Azool, the whammer.  Who slams things and makes them explode.  No much else is mentioned and the people does not know what to make of them.  But they do draw connections to this Azool and the brown man that is nigh unstoppable and wrecks armies up.

Doram, the Legion.  The ballad describes him as a hivemind collective of pirates which assimilates one new crew at one time.  Eventually people are starting to ask if Doram is even a person at all or a group or an organization known as Dorams.   But they all know one thing, that Doram recruits people or transform people into more Dorams and they are mostly seaborne.

Ventril, an exceptionally EVIL Elf.  The Ballad stresses on how evil Ventril is but never goes on details about what makes Ventril evil except that he is.  Over the time, gossips, tavern talk & other bards add sordid details about Ventril and sang about the evil deeds that the elf committed.

AllenwithanE
, a tree that uses its own branches as arrows to shoot at the bad people.  Academics dismiss this as nonsense while tavern goers believe that it could be a vengeful dyrad or treant.

Anaris, a sentient plank that falls flat on ground a lot.  And things seem to explode around the plank.  Who is often triggered by the rest into turning the bad people into ashes.  Some folks like to think that Anaris is the incarnation of an angry firewood taking revenge on the world by setting living folks on fire but somehow fought on the side of good for whatever reason planks do.  Some "scholars" theorize that it could be magical wood given sentience by some traumatic event.

Grigor, the wall.  The impassable wall, nothing gets passed the wall.   People who heard the tale wondered how a wall even manages to help stop one million dragons.  The drunks in the tavern proclaim that the wall grew so large it fell on a thousand dragons at one time, crushing them.

The Cook, there was a brief mention of someone who cooks for the party but not much is mentioned.  But there was very specific parts about the ballad that no one really cooks.  So listeners wonders if there ever really was a cook at all since no cooking was ever done.  Most chalk it up to composer having issues with people who makes promises about doing something but never doing it.  Or that it was a blurb or slip of tongue by the people who sang the song.

Azool, the whammer.  Who slams things and makes them explode.  No much else is mentioned and the people does not know what to make of them.  But they do draw connections to this Azool and the brown man that is nigh unstoppable and wrecks armies up.

Bryseis, which the ballad never mentions.  The ballad mentions a party of eight but only describes six of them.  Some scholars with too much free time on their hands would debate on the ballad itself.   They would spend hours guessing the identity of these two other members, while some argue there never were eight but only six.  Some speculate that the other two died in the most horrific of ways in the battle with the Dark Queen.  Others say that the way the ballad was written was a inner gateway to the psyche of the composer and how they dealt with the trauma of losing friends or some unresolved issues.

DORAM
Following the events at the rift, Doram becomes a privateer in the service of Empire of Salderia.    During the Kartassan invasion, his vessel the Indestructible raided every ship that is not flying the flag of Salderia, Corawyn & Dunswetch.   Over time, he has brought the loot & plunder to Salderia which helped to support the war effort in resisting the Kartassans.   Doram was eventually promoted to Admiral and gain a flotilla of ships.

Years later when the Kartassan invasion died down and the formation of the Border Princes began.  Doram decided to focus on becoming a true pirate, owing allegiance to no one.  All ships were fair game to his pirate fleet except for those that flew flags belonging to Salderia, Crastul, Weaslinor & Elvander.

From time to time, Doram still drops by at Fortress Keldrick in Salderia to trade information and offload his plunder, to some extent the Half Orc Captain still considers himself an Imperial Agent.   He would also take the opportunity to visit the grave of Dundee, an old crewmate of his.    He would speak of Dundee as a Saint and often embellish the deeds of Dundee.

Though most would brush him off.  A decade later, some people actually wondered who Dundee was.  As usual, it falls down to the scholars who had too much free time on their hands to start speculating about the existence of Dundee, authenticating his identity and his deeds...

Doram would gain much enemies for the pirating he has done but he has allies that grant him safe harbor.  On a few occasions, he was almost caught by Uzaraen Navy - narrowly escaping the Theocracy's blockade.   He also survived attacks from rival pirate fleets from Vakagrae and caused quite a lot of aggravation to the merchant princes of Cemyrae that they comission a joint navy to go after him.

Doram's journey would take him to strange lands where he would collect strange & exotic fruit for Welly.   Sometimes he would visit his Bavarran friend and sneak him away from the brown man's scheming wife so that Azool can relax and chill out on his ship.  With Azool, Doram & his pirate fleet sought out the Dragon Turtle & Storm Giant.

Trying to get the treasure of the Dragon Turtle was perhaps the most costly expedition Doram ever undertaken.  Although he was successful, he was engaged in a three way battle with the Dragon Turtle & its minions as well as with Admiral Alonzo Hernandez, commander of Vriemmarthox the Sorching Rain's naval forces.   Doram won the treasure but lost half his pirate fleet to his former Captain.

Doram used the loot to set up his own pirate cove on a remote island where he found the Storm Giant.

Ship & Crew
Doram's flag ship the Indestructible features a Dragon Skull mounted on its prow.  But since Doram has more than one Dragon Skull, he has allowed those ships that serve well to also mount a Dragon Skull on their prows.   The Indestructible pirate fleet has often caused most merchant ships to surrender their loot at the sight of the pirate flotilla.  Only a few foolish ones dare stand up to a pirate lord that has fell dragons.

Doram's only threats were naval forces belonging to sovereign nations or rival pirate fleets large enough to challenge him.

Doram has never stopped recruiting for his pirate fleet the moment he joined the party.  To date, he has the most diverse group of crew that Irth Ungrae had ever seen.  There are abled seamen from Salderia, refugees from Corawyn, cutthroats & bucanneers he has assimilated from other pirates, sea hags, exiled Vadir raiders, Khrone Berzerkers in worship of the God of War & Slaughter as well as Daphne Middenstand a noblewoman from Salderia, who is tired of her elder brother's overbearing antics.

Dave Samgee
Doram former crew that is a compulsive gambler remains locked in a Cemyraen prison.  He was released years later but somehow disappeared from view.  It was rumored that he got into debt again and was sold into slavery or shanked in a dark alleyway.

GRIGOR ODITASH
With the Dark Queen Kardis defeated, Grigor retired to Weaslinor and resumed his responsibilities as a King.  Being the King of swamp country is no easy task, especially when Weaslinor had no arable land to speak of and consisted of many disparate factions that don't get along well.  Competition for resources was high and in the beginning it was pretty much touch and go.  Quite simply put, Weaslinor was in no position to do anything about Kartassan invasion of Western Irth Ungrae, although Grigor did offer to help in subtler ways by relaying information about Kartassan troop movements to Salderia, Corawyn & Dunswetch.

Unlike most other Kings, Grigor tour the land and got to know the people under his rule, this means that he is seldom in Royal Courts for the first few years.  A good portion of the King's time is spend placating the various factions, or coercing them to work together when persuasion fails.   As well as observing the people around him and identifying those who have the potential to aid him in governing the kingdom.  And the King is quite good at this.

What little time Grigor has left, he spends with his family, especially Magda.   The two would take turns to take care & nurture their adopted son, Grimclaw the Black Dragon Hatchling.  Although Boris has often offered to help, Grigor turns him down everytime.

Grigor's wisdom & calmness also meant that he has on more than one ocassion ended up becoming a mediator or counselor for the people around him.

The King's faithfulness and love of his wife is also well known, when Earl Carravone of Salderia offered his daughter to become Grigor's bride/concubine.  The Weaslinorian King decline to accept such an offer but would welcome Earl's daughter if she truly had no where else to go.

Many of his subjects would praise Grigor for being a fair, just and kindly leader.  One they would gladly give their lives for.

Magda
The Barbarian Queen spends much of her time at her consort's side.   While Magda wasn't as well liked as Grigor.  The people of Weaslinor respected her.  And on several occassions her presence was enough to resolve disputes between two factions.  Anyone else who dares to challenge her are often invited to drink with the Queen, often times this never results in a desirable outcome for the challenger.

While Magda is not helping Grigor manage the Kingdom, she keeps an eye out for a suitable suitor for Natasha as well as making sure Boris doesn't get into too much trouble.

Natasha Zaryanova
The former Blood Corp soldier turn Princess was extremely relieved when Grigor returned to Weaslinor.  She could barely keep the disparate factions from arguing all the time and Gibbet's solutions aren't exactly helpful.  As it usually involves throwing a party to placate the various other factions when the Kingdom doesn't have much resources to do so.

With Grigor back, Natasha can focused on doing things she enjoys.  This typically involves going on patrols & joining the Slayers for monster hunting trips or going on adventures. She eventually gained some notoriety and given her status soon amassed a small warband of adventurers.

Happy to know that his niece has found a purpose, Grigor appointed Natasha as the 1st general of the Weaslinorian army and tasked her to building it up.

Boris Zaryanova
Upon his return to Weaslinor, Boris founded the Order of the Black Lance.  The cavalier spends his time honing his skills, looking for potential recruits but also trying to court Lady Emeris.  Until he realizes he has a rival in Vilroy.   Boris challenges Vilroy to a duel to the death but his uncle intervenes and instead recommends Lady Emeris to go with Ser Vilroy.

This infuriated Boris and the Knight Commander has considered turning against his uncle but understands that he is in no position to do so.   While he is upset with his uncle's decisions, Boris still loves his uncle and look up to Grigor as a father.

When Magda proposed that Boris wed Lady Elissa Carravone from Salderia, Boris initially decline but reluctantly agree upon Grigor's persuasion.

Even after his marriage to Lady Elissa, Boris still thought of the power & position that he would attain should he & Emeris tie the knot.   Boris felt that the Carravone simply lacked the political clout or power that he wanted.  Unlike the other ladies that Boris has flirted with before, Elissa had a certain dignified aura about her that saps his emotional capacity to engage the exiled Salderian lady.  He simply lacked the energy to "melt" the ice fortress she surrounds herself in.   Feeling stuck in this marriage, Boris instead focused on building up his Knight Order, neglecting to spend time with his wife.   He still bore a grudge towards Grigor and at times take its out on Elissa instead.

VENTRIL
The high elven alchemist returned the relics to his patron. When the Queen of Thorns made him an offer to become the vessel for Kournas, the God of the Wild Hunt.   Ventril refused.

His patron simply smiled and returned Eucharis to Ventril.  Rejoined with his beloved, Ventril moved back to Elvandar where Eucharis introduced Ventril to her extended family.

The alchemist realized that his beloved is actually the niece of his companion, Anaris.  Things became quite awkward.  Eventually Ventril & Eucharis left the Elven Kingdoms and wedded in the Magocracy of Crastul.

The two would spend time traveling the world and collecting ingredients needed for potion brewing, when Ventril had enough of the traveling he begin to set-up his first Potion Shop in Weaslinor.  Though it took a lot of convincing before Grigor allowed him to do so.

Realizing that he needed to spend more time with Eucharis, he decided to enlist adventurers to procure the ingredients for him while he spends his time brewing potions and in the company of his beloved.

A few months later, Eucharis gave birth to a boy that the couple named Sovalis and a couple of years later, Eucharis would give Ventril a second child.  A daughter named Ciarielle.

One fine day, Sovalis wandered into the nearby woods and never came back.  No one knew where he went.  The couple searched high and low but did not find him.   They enlisted adventurers to search for their son and got their friends to help but none have seen Sovalis or anyone like him.  Not even magic would reveal the fate of Ventril's firstborn.

By then Ventril & his wife Eucharis had accepted their fates.  But Ventril continued to expand his business, setting up new potion shops in Capital Cities in the various Kingdoms.   Aside from turning a profit and making the best potions, he has one instruction for his employees.  Keep an eye out for an Elf that resembled Sovalis.

Ventril never gave up searching for his son.  One day, perhaps one day he will find him.

WELLY TOPHILL
Seeing as how the fate of Merryton is intertwined with Salderia.  Welly returns to the Empire to aid them the best he could.  He would infiltrate Kartassan camps, sabotaging their supply lines and generally making it harder for Kartassa to continue their military campaigns in Salderia.

This went on for a good year until the Kartassan Elites that fought by PRIME's side were dispatched to deal with Welly.  The halfling swashbuckler narrowly escaped thanks to his plethora of magical equipment and skills.

Welly eventually had to give up helping Salderia as it puts himself too much at risk but his efforts have slowed down the Kartassa somewhat and gave Salderia time to pull itself together.

Arriving at Weaslinor, Welly open up a floating restaurant called the Baator's Kitchen.  He would serve as a Chef Extraordinarie.  Hiring people with the potential to cook and train them up as he is needed elsewhere...

Known only to a selected few, Welly is the Spymaster of Weaslinor.  He transformed the Shadow Hand stationed there into a Spy Network in the service of King Grigor, where they take care of issues that cannot be resolved by the law of the land.  When the Captain of the Royal Guard presence is insufficient to contain a threat.  Welly's spies get called in and problems is typically "removed".

After having some success with Baator's Kitchen, Welly decided to propose to Breena.  The freckled halfling girl consented and moved to Weaslinor with Welly.

Welly's spywork & restaurant often kept him busy but he found time for Breena.  It wasn't long before Breena conceive their first child.  Years went by, Welly's business grew and he begin to franchise Baator's Kitchen into major Cities in other sovereign states on Irth Ungrae.  Becoming even more famous than Rordon Gamsay, another famous halfling chef.

In this time, Breena gave Welly a total of four children, whom they named; Tawna, Wella, Bobbin & Perrin.  What little time Welly had he spend with his family, experiementing with Doram's supply of exotic monster cuts and fruits.   A decade later, Welly finally finished working on a book he started writing, titled it "Cooking for Adventurers, How to kill your monsters and eat them too".

Breena Sunbough
The priestess of St Helios joined her husband in Weaslinor and began a congregation dedicated to the Saint of Truth, Honesty and Sun.  She would often also bring leftovers from Baator's Kitchen (if there are any) to those who could not afford it and gave them away for free.

Her chirpy demeanor did not initially sit well with the dour Weaslinorians but through charitable acts, consistent effort and sheer determination she won them over.

When the water receded, more and more flock to her congregation.  Weaslinorians began to believe in the power of Saint Helios and very soon a Temple dedicated in his name was constructed.  It even caught Bishop Emeris's attention and the Aasimar sought her counsel at times.

Years went by, Breena would give to her husband and to her congregation.   She was granted the rank of High Vicar by Bishop Emeris.  And is known to her people as the most joyful & kind person to be around with.  A wonderful mother to her four children and a loving supportive wife to her husband.

ARIANNA MOONSONG
The Half Elf Bard returned to Corawyn where she rejoined her best friend and composed a different ballad exalting the deeds of those banished the Dark Queen Kardis back into the netherworld.  Many would learn about the heroism of PRIME.   Determined to help Lady Michelle save Corawyn from Kartassa & Vriemmarthox's legions, Lady Arianna traveled from warzone to warzone rousing Corawynians into action and lifting their spirits.  Sometimes even participating in the battle herself.

Even so it wasn't enough.   Arianna joined the White Council and somehow persuaded its members to intervene and prevent Red Wyrm's influence from expanding.   Because of this, Corawyn was able to reclaim some of its lands from Vriemmarthox.

But war takes a toll on those involved, growing weary of the conflict.  Arianna finds herself becoming the White Council's ambassador & recruiter, helping the organization attract potential adventurers or heroes to their ranks.

CARA CARLSEN
Cara lost her brother & her home to the Kartassans.    The on-going conflict eventually took her father's life too.  The Paladin carried the torch and continued serving the Empire loyally and never shirked from her duties.   By the time the war ended with Salderia forming an uneasy truce with the Border Princes, Cara was only left with scars of the war, physical and emotional scars.  Her family & the lands they had were all lost during her watch.

She put on a brave front and continued to serve the Empire stoically until Teagan discovered her in unconcious a dark alley in Lothelmar.  After being saved from embarassment, she slowly began to opened up to Azool's half brother and grew closer to the Cleric.

Eventually Cara married Teagan and the paladin found some semblence of happiness but regrets that her family was not there to witness her marriage.

THE CARRAVONES
Terrence was always under the impression that Elissa was adopted and not his real sister.  When PRIME rescued Elissa from the ritual, the Earl finally took the time to explain to his two children.

He revealed his secret shame that he has done something terrible to someone else in his younger days.  Elissa is a a product of his sinful act and also Terrence's half sister.  The truth stunned both Terrence & Elissa as both knew their love for each other is wrong.

ELISSA
To prevent his two children from sinning further, Earl Darren exiled Elissa to Weaslinor.  Offering her hand in marriage to King Grigor.   Grigor refused, as he is already happily married to Magda but agreed to take her in.

Feeling lost, confused and also resentful towards her father.  She relented and agreed to go anywhere as long as she will never see the two most important men in her life.   After arriving in Weaslinor she tried to forget her past by making new friends with the people around her.  Until one day Terrence showed up one day and tried to take her away.  But his presence brought her more pain instead.

Elissa took up on King Grigor's proposal when her father tried to married her to the Weaslinorian King.   She would instead marry Boris and entered a loveless marriage.

Elissa knew Boris didn't love her either but did so to force Terence to give up.    The two slept in different rooms and never had more than two words for each other.  The sorceress considered Boris crude & crass and often very detached in the presence of her husband.

Sometime later, she caught the eye of Duke Kydrien.  And the Weaslinorian noble began to serenade her.   Treating him as a distraction, she begin a clandestine affair with the Duke and eventually bore him a child.   She suspected that Boris knew this whole time but the Knight Commander never confronted her.   Elissa focus her time & energy into nurturing her son.

TERRENCE
When the Earl exiled his sister to Weaslinor, Terrence left the Carravone household and vowed to never return.   He continued to defend Salderia against Kartassa until he cleared his head and headed north towards Weaslinor.

Time & time again he tried to persuade Elissa to leave with him but she chased him away.  Until one day, she choose to married someone she didn't love.  Heartbroken and feeling betrayed by the two people he loved.   He turned to alcohol to drown his sorrows and worked as a mercenary to pay for his drinking habits.

EARL DARREN
The Earl could not let his sins carry over to the next generation and made the difficult decision to exile his daughter.  Salderia wasn't winning the war and he must protect the gem of his life.   By sending her to Weaslinor, she would be safe.

But in doing so, he also lost his heir apparent.  The son, he had hope to pass his land, titles and wealth to, vowed to never see him again.  The sins of his past has caught up to him.  Years passed by, the Earl made several attempts to reconcile with his daughter & son but they ignored him.

He spent his life living in regret & guilt  - while he tried to make amends by performing charity it never felt enough.  All the old man wanted was to see his children again and hear their voices.   After sometime, the Earl fell sick and passed away alone.

GIBBET BLOODTREE
The goblin bard took on his role with a level of zeal never seen before.  As a master of festivities and Weaslinor is a pretty dour and grim place.   It falls to him to liven the place up.   Whenever there was a small milestone made in Weaslinorian history, Gibbet start a celebration of sorts.

Years later, Gibbet started up a Theater and also formed a band of Performers.  His purpose was to bring more entertainment & "art" to Weaslinor.  The plays & musical performances he organized were not always well received but it kept the general populace of Weaslinorian City Folks distracted.

Though not respected or well liked, he was accepted by the people around him and become an example that not all goblins are forest dwelling scavengers or thieves.  A small guy with large dreams.  Or simple dreams about getting fed.

Gibbet had everything he hoped for.  A warm bed and tasty morsels from Baator's Kitchen and of course the admiration & adulation the other goblins had for him.

DANIEL SCONES
The constable's time with PRIME got him noticed by the Emperor and he was chosen to join the Emperor's Royal Guards.  During the war between Salderia & Kartassa, Daniel served the Empire with distinction and have more than once placed himself in danger to protect the people around him.

After the war, Daniel was granted knighthood by Emperor Frederick and promoted to become the Captain of the Royal Guards.  The fighter would eventually forgave his mother for leaving him & his father after the Guild of Shadow Hands made substantial contributions to the Salderian war effort.

Years later, Daniel's father.  Councillor Scones retired and settled in Lothelmar with his son, residing at PRIME's former townhouse.  Daniel remains ever vigilant watching out for threats against the Emperor.  In his spare time, he keeps his father company and sometimes catch up with old friends he made when he was a member of PRIME.    The doors to the townhouse are always open to PRIME and their former allies.

DAVID VALOROUS
David knew he didn't have it in him to become an adventurer like the rest of his former companions in PRIME but he had to fight.  Everything he held dear to, his mother, friends & neighbors in Farswell would be threatened if Kartassa had their way.

And Kartassa did have their way.  David joined in the defense of the Empire but they were pushed back at everyturn.  The Kartassa advance at such an incredible speed that the Empire could barely muster enough to forces to delay their progress.

Eventually the Empire had to give up on Farswell.  David had no choice but to evacuate the town with the help of Bryseis.  When Anaris came to the Empire's defense in Stromford, David's spirit was lifted.  If anyone could help them win this war, it would be his former companion Anaris.

Haunted by the memories of war, David eventually quits the field of battle before it consumes him.  When the Empire pushes Kartassa out, he resettled Farswell with his mother and retires from the army or any adventuring life.  Choosing instead to takeover as the taverns new owner.

DIETER SERPENTINE
With the help of Alanis, Daniel recovers the remains of Dieter and buries him in Dunswetch where he was born.  His epitaph reads "Here lies Dieter, may he find reason to be joyful and heed better advice in afterlife"

LEON
The Winter Wolf remains at Wesalinor and appoints himself as the Master of the Hunt / Lord of the menagrie for the Royal Court of Weaslinor.   Whenever Grigor or Magda are too busy to receive guests to the Royal Court.  Leon would seize the opportunity to receive the guests, often introducing himself as an important Court Official.

Eventually people would learn that Weaslinorian court employed a talking wolf as one its courtier and fiction became the truth.   King Grigor reluctantly awarded a medallion to Leon which the Winter Wolf proudly wears around his neck.

BRIGHTWING
The Pseudodragon stayed around in Weaslinor for a bit of time fluttering around the Castle grounds and generally being an annoyance to some of the court officials.  Sometime later, she mysteriously vanished.  Rumors has it that Leon has devoured the tiny dragon but the Winter Wolf denies such accusations.  When Natasha commissioned Welly to investigate, they found no evidence that Leon had devoured Brightwing.

After a while, the people eventually forgot about her and carried on with their lives.  Although the constables report an increasing amount of smaller livestock or pets that have gone missing.  The City Watch had more pressing matters to attend to than look into those cases.

FELIX UNDERHILL
The halfling & his wife retires from adventuring and vanishes.  Years later, Frinn comes across a Jewelery & Gemcutting Store known as Underhill & Associates in the Border Princes.  When she steps inside and asks for Felix, the halfing lady behind the counter told her that there is no such person.

GRAY
The rogue somehow found himself in the town of Fernvalley and helped out the common folk with their various problems throughout the years.  A short time later, the mayor retired and everyone wanted Gray to become their mayor.  When Gray probed, he learn that they had been an embarassing incident in the past.

MELINDA FORVALLES
Hoping to make amends & believing that Kartassa was indirectly involved in her brothers fall from grace.  Melinda returned to Salderia and contributed to the defense of the realm.  She got in contact with her comrades in the Green Knights where they conducted guerilla warfare against Kartassan Empire.

During a raid, she came across Lord Telrae of the Gryphon Legion surronded by Kartassan forces.  Recognizing Telrae as a competent commander of the Salderian forces, she risked her life to rescue the Lord of House Vedwyr from the Kartassan invaders.  She managed to distract the Kartassans and allowed Telrae to break through the Kartassan ranks.  In the end, her quarry ended up saving her as well.

The Lord Commander was impressed with Melinda and the two begin to spend more time defending Salderia together.  After Kartassa retreated back to the East, the two got married.

THE MAXIMILLIANS
Sometime after the war broke out between Kartassa & Salderia, Marcus II accepted responsibilities for his own actions and stepped down as the Emperor.  He recognized that his absence was what caused the Salderia to take a turn for the worst.

However even after stepping down, the Maximillians continue to serve the Empire loyally, contributing gold and manpower to reclaim Salderian land from Kartassa.

High Duke Marcus II led his house to war and successfully retake Salderian territories previously lost to Kartassa until the Battle of Gainsborough.   Marcus II successfully retaken the fortified City of Gainsborough but Kartassa forces retaliated and siege the already ruined City.  The High Duke perished in battle trying to defend the City.   Although the City was lost to Kartassa again, Marcus II and his men bloodied the Kartassan forces and weeks later Salderian reinforcements retaken the city with little losses.

ERAMON
Like many of the other Salderians, Eramon did his part in defending the Empire.   Believing he is somehow responsible for the current state of the Empire, he became one of those that fought the hardest to retake Empire from Kartassa.  Years of battle & time spent at PRIME side has taught him something and the former Crown Prince has become more humble.

The loss of his father shook him to the core but with Vaelynn's guidance became a better & wiser man.

JOSEPHINE
When the Kartassa invaded, Josephine's husband.  Duke Lanelin of Montsillion returned to Corawyn to defend his kingdom.  During a pitched battle with the Kartassans, the Duke met his end.  Josephine did not grief nor celebrate her husband's passing.   While she did not love the man, her husband doted on their daughter and they did live like a family until he choose his ambition over his family.

While the rest of her house fought at the frontlines, Josephine managed the lands & took care of the common folk.   She ensured resources were properly rationed and made the lands even more productive.   Her efforts got her noticed and after the war, the Empire choose her to become the Lord of Gainsborough.

RILLION VARNHESSE
The Tiefling continued to prove those who doubted his kind wrong.  After helping PRIME defeat the Dark Queen Kardis.   Rillion returned to Salderia and defended the realm as best as he could.  He eventually got noticed and was selected to lead Elite Salderian Shock Troopers.  Years of battle, earn him the reputation as the Devil Pikesmen.  During these troubling times, he also got acquited with Felicia Limberry.

After the war ended, Emperor Frederick bestow the title of Baronet on Rillion and he has chosen Falsteed Keep and the land around it as his.  Sometime later, he weds Felicia and they would rebuild the Coastal Fortress to its former glory.   Rillion brings his mother to Falsteed Keep but she prefers to stay in the village of Saltwind.

With Zeveran's permission, he also establishes Falsteed Keep as the Chapterhouse for the Arcane Wardens.  Many visitors notice the unusual amount of Tieflings in his service.  Some would say that it was because of Rillion's race & position in Salderian society.  Though the Tieflings know better...

NATHAN BLACKMOORE
The aspiring Knight saw the Kartassan invasion as a means to prove himself and volunteer serve as the vanguard.  Nathan almost lost his life in the beginning of the war.  While recuperating, he was visited by Azool who retrieves the Dragonsaber but bestow upon Nathan the Sunderer.

During this short period, Nathan learnt as much as possible from Azool before returning to war equipped with the Sunderer.  During one battle, he challenged a Kartassan Commander to a duel.  He almost lost his life in the process but somehow managed to slay the Dragon the Commander was riding on and dismounted the Kartassan Commander.  This rallied the Salderians and they took the fight to the Kartasans despite mounting casualties.  The battle was won and Nathan was promoted to lead the Elite Salderian Vanguard.

The Knight bitten more than he can chew and would have died if not for the Sunderer.   After the war, Nathan was betowed the title of Lord and General of 2nd Division.  He is tasked with rebuilding the army.

TRISHA LANDON
Following the events at the Rift, Trisha head towards Weaslinor with Grigor & his family.  She has found the new King of Weaslinor worthy of respect and intends to protect him.  Although deep down she knows he is capable of defending himself, she cannot find anyone else more worthy to serve under.

Trisha becomes the Captain of the Royal Guards, escorting & protecting the Royal Family and whoever Grigor appoints as their charge.  When subtle attempts to resolve situations fail & a forceful approached is needed, Trisha would be there.

Many are aware of what the Captain is capable of and would not want to test her.  Those who dare to do not, knowing that she represents the will of King Grigor.   Trisha would continue serving Grigor for years to come, never wavering from her duty.

VAL AMARANTH
House Val Amarath has grown considerably more powerful since Kartassa's invasion of Western Irth Ungrae.  The weakened kingdoms of Salderia & Corawyn allowed the Theocracy to present themselves as a solution to Kartassa's problems.  And the Cardinal Caldor was quick to exploit this situation.  While his political power was strengthened, his relationship with his daughters were weakened.

Alanis
The Paladin tried to repair relationship with her younger sister and made some progress.  Although they are still awkward around each other.   Deciding that this was probably the best she could do, Alanis returned to adventuring life.  She traveled to Corawyn where she lend her sword arm to help the locals deal with the monsters that were once held in check by Corawynian patrols.

Sometime later she was approached by Arianna who sought her help in dealing with the Ancient Red Wyrm.  The Paladin led a ragtag bunch of Corawynian soldiers & peasants eager to reclaim their lands and saw several victories over the Red Dragonborn Army. She has also shown mercy to Kartassans captives or those defeated by her.

Years later, tired of the fighting and war.  Alanis retired from the adventuring but was again approached by the White Council.    After the Kartassa retreated eastwards, the White Council believe that the Rift should always be watched and requested that she becomes Commander of the Riftwatch and tasked her to rebuild the order.

Despite her weariness, Alanis accepts the role having seen the darkness and evil that seeps from the Rift itself.  Her followers from Corawyn that had no place to return to followed her and formed the new Riftwatch along with those few that were not swayed by Tyros & Wickit.

Emeris
Appointed as the Bishop of the Seven Saints in charge of Weaslinor,  the Cleric arrived in swamp kingdom to build up the Temples and establish a foothold for the theocracy.   During her time with PRIME & adventures within the Rift she got acquinted with Vilroy & Boris.

Having developed feelings for both of them, she became conflicted as to who she should be with.  Boris had been very persistent, attentive to her needs and generally very encouraging of her, even though most would frown upon her decisions.

While Vilroy brings out the best in her and seems to have a way of making her see things in a new light she haven't considered.

For a brief moment Emeris entertained the thought to seek her elder sister's advice but thought the better of it.  Alanis would have just told her "Why not both?".

Instead Emeris approach Grigor instead and sought his advice.  The Weaslinorian King share his pearls of wisdom and Emerics eventually decided to be with Vilroy.

Years went by and with Vilroy's guidance, Emeris learn to be less dogmatic and more empathic.  Although she still harbors a prejudice against Tieflings she no longer sees them as a disease that needs to be cleanse and purged.

VILROY LIGHTBORN
Lands that would have been normally guarded and patrolled extensively by soldiers belonging to each sovereign nation are now undefended.  This resulted in lawlessness of the land, bandits & thugs now thrive.  Marauding monster tribes & war bands previously kept in check from encroaching upon civilized land now raid & pillage towns & villages.  Worst still, degenerate spellcasters unleash their magic upon the world.  Necromancers no longer lurk in dark & dank crypts, they would visit the battlefields add undead ot their ranks.

Vilroy knew he had to know something. Instead of participating in the war, he spent his time traveling the wartorn lands, helping out the common people.  Defending villages from bandit & monster and rooting out evil wherever they may be found.

His path crossed with the Slayers many times and on ocassions they would give each other a wide berth.  Each seeking other evils to defeat.  Other times when the evil is too strong, they would band together and defeat the evil that threaten the lands.

Whenever he is in Weaslinor, he made sure to visit Emeris.  He saw the Cleric as someone with tremendous potential but somehow misguided in her attempts to bring good to the world.  Patiently, he tried to counsel and guide her.  At times bringing he would bring her along on his adventures to seek out evil.

Years later, Vilroy started a family with Emeris and no longer goes on adventures to seek out evil.  He remains a member of the White Council and helps to mentor the more martial minded newcomers.

ZAIN
The Wood Elf wandered the realms and tried to make amends by offering his help to common folks that needed it.   As an orphan he knew how hard it is for them to survive and how easy it is to turn to crime or be exploited.   So Zain settled in Cemyrae and started a school which accepted delinquents and street rats who have no were else to go or turn to.   Whenever he found young ruffians or scoundrels, he would try his best to turn them over a new leaf.

When the orphanage began to grew he received some help and took time off.  Returning to the Rift,
he sought out Alanis and with her help retrieved Deltus's body and return his remains to Thormatoin.  Hoping his friend will find peace and rest under the mountains of his homeland.

After that he returns to the orphanage and continues to guide youngsters to a morally just path.

SOMEWHERE...
The young male elf wakes up to finds himself within a crystal receptacle filled with saltwater.  Beside the receptacle that he is in, there are two other receptacle, one with a human male in it and another with a female elf, both of them motionless.

The elf knocks his fist on the crystal as if trying to alert someone or something to his location.  He arches his brows and a silvery mist envelopes him then he finds himself outside of the receptacle.  The elf marches down the hallway finding the same elf & human that was in the receptacles next to his, but these two looked somewhat different.

The human smirked "they really liked you".   The elf snarls, "you wouldn't be here if it weren't if I haven't made the necessary preparations".

The she-elf spoke this time, "Yet, we still failed, your plan has failed".

The elf couuntered, "No, Taretha"  It is far from over.   The human arches his eyebrows, "Explain yourself, Naal".

The Elf puts on his robes and heads down the hallway, motioning to them to follow him before speaking   "In due time my friends, now we have work to do".
